Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GI Charger, Kathmandu, Nepal ("we", "us"). They govern your use of the GI Charger mobile app, the website gicharger.com, and the EV charging services connected to them (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms.
1. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- Your account is created with your mobile phone number and verified by a one-time password (OTP). Keep your phone and OTP codes safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep your profile up to date. One person may hold one account.
2. Wallet and payments
- The GI Charger wallet is a prepaid balance used only to pay for charging within the Service. It is not a bank account, earns no interest, and cannot be transferred to other users.
- Top-ups are processed by eSewa and Khalti under their own terms. We are not responsible for delays or failures inside those payment systems, but we will help you trace any top-up that does not arrive.
- Charging sessions are billed from your wallet at the rate shown in the app before you start the session.
- Refunds are handled according to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
3. Charging sessions
- Start a session only on a charger you are physically connected to, and follow the safety instructions posted at the station and in your vehicle's manual.
- You are responsible for your vehicle and cable during the session, and for any damage you cause to the charger or station property.
- Session data (energy delivered, duration, cost) recorded by the charger and our systems is the basis for billing. If you believe a session was billed wrongly, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate.
- Move your vehicle promptly when charging finishes; stations may apply posted parking or idle rules.
4. Stations and availability
Most stations on the network are owned and operated by independent station partners. We show live availability as reported by chargers, but we cannot guarantee that a station is free, working, or compatible with your vehicle at any given moment. Charging speeds depend on your vehicle, the charger, and conditions such as temperature and battery level.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including interfering with chargers or other users, attempting to bypass payment, reverse-engineering or attacking our systems, using the Service for unlawful purposes, or reselling charging without our written agreement. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Liability
We provide the Service with care, but to the extent permitted by the laws of Nepal: the Service is provided "as is"; we are not liable for indirect losses (such as lost time, lost profit, or towing costs) arising from station unavailability, charger faults, or payment-system outages; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount in dispute or the balance of your wallet, whichever is higher. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
7. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the account deletion page). We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, fraud, or legal requirement. If we close your account without cause, we will refund your remaining wallet balance.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post changes on this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.
